In a tall building in a big, busy city, there lived a boy named Milo.
Milo lived with his mom and his little sister Sophie.
Every evening, they would play games and laugh together.
But tonight, dark clouds were gathering over the city.
'Time for bed, my loves,' said Mom with a warm smile.
Milo snuggled into his cozy bed with his dinosaur blanket.

His little nightlight glowed softly. Everything felt safe and warm.
Milo closed his eyes. 'Goodnight, world,' he whispered.
RUMBLE. Milo's eyes popped open. What was that?
Tap, tap, tap. Rain began to hit his window.
FLASH! Bright lightning lit up the whole room!
BOOM! Thunder crashed like a giant drum!

Milo felt his heart beating fast. Storms were so scary!
Then his door opened gently. 'Hey, buddy,' Mom said softly.
She sat on his bed and held his hand.
'It's just a storm,' she said. 'It sounds big and loud, but you're safe.'
'And remember, God is always with you. Even in the loudest storms.'

She gave Milo the warmest hug. 'You're braver than you know.'
After Mom left, Milo sat thinking. Could he really be brave?
He looked out at the rain. The city lights twinkled through the drops.
'God,' Milo whispered, 'please help me be brave.'
And suddenly, he felt a warm, peaceful feeling inside.
Then he heard something. A tiny voice calling, 'Milo?'

It was Sophie! She sounded scared too.
Milo took a deep breath. He was the big brother. He could help!
He found Sophie hiding under her blanket with Mr. Flops.
'Hey, Sophie,' Milo said softly. 'The storm is loud, huh?'
'But guess what? God is with us. And I'm here too.'

'I have an idea!' said Milo. 'Let's make a fort!'
They gathered blankets and pillows and built the coziest fort ever!
Inside the fort, with a flashlight, the storm didn't seem scary at all.
BOOM! Thunder rumbled. Sophie giggled! 'That one was loud!'
Soon, both children fell asleep, warm and safe together.
When morning came, golden sunlight filled the room.

The storm was gone! The city sparkled from the rain.
And look! A beautiful rainbow stretched across the sky!
Mom found them at the window. 'My brave kids,' she said proudly.
And Milo smiled. He wasn't just brave for himself. He was brave for Sophie too. The End.
